Dandiya 2015

On October 10, 2015 some friends and I participated in Dandiya at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center. This event was put on by the North Carolina Indo-American Society I got to dress in authentic Indian attire and participate in traditional Indian dancing. I also got to help raise money for Faust Elementary School by selling baked goods. The evening was a huge success and a ton of fun. It definitely expanded my knowledge of the Indian culture and I got to try a lot of new things.

Here are some pictures from the evening!

BMX: 2015 Gold Cup Finals

On October 31st, I participated in the 2015 Gold Cup Finals that was held in Augusta, GA. The event was originally scheduled for October 3 & 4, but due to a hurricane in the area it was postponed. Then the weekend it was rescheduled to, October 31st and November 1st, there was also bad weather. So we ran both days of racing on Saturday. It made for one very long day with a whole lot of racing. But I would say that it was a huge success. I managed to place second in all nine of my laps that day, including qualifying motos and main events on both bikes. With those finishes along with the points I had earned through qualifying races, I ended up with two 2nd place ranks for the Gold Cup series. It was a ton of competitive racing but the day was definitely a success!

Here's some pictures!
