BMX: 2014 Gold Cup Finals

Novant Health BMX Track: Rock Hill, SC

On October 10-12, I participated in the regional BMX finals held this year in Rock Hill, SC. The race was held as the final in a regional series, called the Gold Cup. You had to participate in 2 qualifying races in order to be eligible for the finals. I went in with great scores as I participated in multiple qualifiers as well as winning some of these qualifiers. The race was held Saturday and Sunday as Froday was the practice day. This track is where the 2017 World Finals will be held so it is a pristine facility. I raced in 2 classes for this race and even ranked regionally, for the east coast, at this race. We had many weather problems, as it rained a lot that weekend, which made the race draw out much longer. However we did manage to get the races in. Attached are some pictures that I took that weekend.
